Battery died in my 2012 CT while parked at a storage lot. Attendant was able jump it and move it in order to get it to a service area, however battery wouldn't hold a charge. Installed a new battery, but now it won't start. Dash shows "check hybrid system", but everything appears to be ok. When the ignition is depressed there's nothing. Any ideas before I get it towed to Lexus? BTW, did a quick internet search and saw a Prius post regarding a relay failure that would cause this type of problem.

 

The manual says that you can't leave the car for a few months without running it or it will drain the battery. All it says if the car won't start is that you need to get in touch with the dealer.

 

$25 tech stream from eBay will pay off in the first hybrid system reset.

 

If you got gas in the tank i would try jumping the car again and drive around (60mph) to see if the hybrid battery charges up. If not then just tow it in to Lexus.

 

What is this and what does it do?

I have an ODB reader, but I guess this is something else?
