How can you tell if you have the original ecu that came with your car. I have a 2011 lexus 200h. My car was in an accident hit on the front left. After the repairs were done warning lights dtc C1231,C1345 and C1451 came on and would not shut off. The lexus dealer is say that the wrong ecu was put in the car and cannot be resest unless I spend $1700 on a nex ecu to fix. My insurance company will not pay saying that they can only pay if evidence of the original ecu was in the car. I bought my car used with only 30,000 miles still under warranty at that time why would anyone put the wrong ecu while it was under warranty. I think the lexus dealer is not correct in its statement. Now I have 70,000 miles with no warranty on the ecu.
