Default oil leak

HI just recently got our CT a second hand car, 100% well maintained, stamped books and all.
Took to Lexus to do a service,
They have said there is a slight leak coming from the timing case.
I cant believe it!?
Ive got a GS450h with 200,000kms on it and i dont have a single drop of oil leaking anywhere.
Anyone else come across an oil leak scenario on a CT200h?
And also the CT is now 104,000km so technically out of warranty even though there is another 1 year to go.
4 years / 100,000km warranty

Hello!
I have a 2011 CT200h with ~113000 km and he told me that there is a slight oil leak too.
My car is still under warranty (a Special European warranty that has nothing to do with Lexus) so I'm going to check it out at the end of this year.
The mecanic told me that the leak was very minor and not something I should be worried about. He just cleaned the oil so we can see how fast it is leaking the next time I service it.
That's my situation for now but I'm not too worried honestly

Is there oil spots on the parking lot?

i would ask the service writer or service manager to escalate it to Lexus and see if they will cover the cost if repair. Lots of times since you are a owner of multiple Lexus cars they will approve repair as "goodwill".

It doesn't hurt to ask.

lexus have said they will cover it as the car was 101,000kms, parts and labour
and full service history at lexus at scheduled times
im still shocked at how it can happen, ive never seen an engine leak on a lexus
so many beat up corollas out there and no oil leaks
if you look at the CT engine bay its like brand new but an engine leak??

cars booked in next week but im still shocked
no loan car tho? have to leave it for 2-3 days also

edit: they said it was head gasket replacement, its not easy to break a head gasket in modern cars so im very worried, and they said its second one they ahve heard of

It's a timing cover seal issue where the block meets the head. The sealant is not holding up. It's a rare case but I've seen a handful.

Service/warranty has replaced it
the car drives much better, i dont know if its all in my head
But seems like a bit more power, may have been leaking pressure on the head.
Maybe they polished the head down a couple of thousandths of a mm and its more power LOL!

Took about 7 days but it was good, and no charge.

I had the same issue on my 2012. I started noticing it around 20k miles. The dealer had the car for a few days for the repair. The way the service manager talked about it led me to believe its not their first case for this issue.

Default oil level

my advice is that, whenever they do the oil change, make sure that the level is only between max and min. if its over the max and lower the min it will cause problem in the long run.
