Default Any CT's with High Miles?

I just hit 70,000 trouble free miles and will be changing my oil and oil filter today. I'm still running on the same brake pads which should last me to 100,000 miles as well as the spark plugs.

The only things that have been replaced are two rear shocks, all four tires, replaced the air filter with a K&N air filter, replaced the cabin air filter, changed my oil and oil filter every 5,000 miles, changed front and rear wiper blades, changed the transmission fluid and brake fluid. Lexus also changed the passenger interior door handle panel under warranty.

It's great that the CT doesn't have a serpentine (drive) belt, one less part to replace from time to time. Since the CT has a timing chain instead of a timing belt there is no need to replace as often.

Are there any other CT members with high miles? Curious to hear what has been replaced and if your CT has been trouble free for the most part with no major issues.

I look forward to another 70,000 trouble free miles...

My 75,000 miles service is coming up soon. I replaced the 4 tires (with the same OEM tires) at 65,000 or 70,000 miles (don't remember which). It has been trouble free since I bought it. Oh and I changed the front wiper blades.

I thought this car had one of those sealed transmissions with fluid that is not supposed to be changed..

No?

Why oil ever 5,000? Are you using standard non synthetic?

At 70,000 you havent done anything with the radiator yet?

Yes, it is a sealed transmission but the fluid should be changed every 60K miles. Our transmissions generate lots of heat and can wear out the fluid.

I do use synthetic oil (Castrol Edge 0W-20). I've always changed my oil every 5K miles and I'm used to it, been doing ever since my first Lexus back in 1996. Also it's easier to keep track when I need to change it.

Haven't done anything to the radiator yet. It's still the original radiator. As for the fluid Lexus replaced it not too long ago. There was a TSB and I brought the CT in and Lexus replaced the fluid at no charge.

I'm also glad there are no serpentine belts to change and as for the timing belt there is none. Our CT has a timing chain.

Here's an update. I have over 123K miles. I changed the transmission fluid at 120K miles. I recently changed my front struts. I will change my brake fluid at 150K miles. My CT definitely runs like a champ...

Thanks for the update. How did the old spark plugs look when removed? Is there any oil consumption?

The spark plugs weren't too bad and no oil consumption. I do check the oil from time to time and the level does not go down. I do use 0W-20 and change the oil and oil filter every 5K miles.

+25mm rear spacer

Morimoto HID kit

Not really mods but...
Charcoal delete + K&N Engine Filter replacement @ 60k
LED interior lights.
Window Tints
Hard-wired Radar detector
Hard-Wired Dashcam

No, the struts weren't bad. Shocks and struts should be replaced every 60K-90K miles. I replaced my struts at 100K miles.

As for my rear shocks, they started leaking around 65K-70K miles and Lexus replaced them under warranty.

just hit the 70k mark myself, so far maint has been dirt cheap on the car. have done the following maint:

-engine air filter
-cabin air filter
-oil changes
-tires
-wiper blades

brake fluid is next on the to do list.

suggestion on the oil change ... you mentioned you change at 5k intervals because "I've always changed my oil every 5K miles and I'm used to it, been doing ever since my first Lexus back in 1996. Also it's easier to keep track when I need to change it.". ever consider using the maint reminder feature built into our ct's? i set mind to remind me every 10k, thus never forgetting when its time.

my used oil reports, all of which are done at 10k:

having 4000+ posts, i'm pretty positive youre aware the lexus maint schedule suggests oci's at 10k. Imo, any more frequent is a waste of time/labor, money (for those who pay someone else to do it), and oil/filter media. just my $0.02 of course, I understand some people sleep better at night doing oil changes more frequently.

Thanks for the UOA chargerfan. I did additional oil change after break-in period (few thousand miles), and that report shows that 10k interval should be adequate after that.

I am just curious what peoples thoughts are on the depreciation on a 100,000 mile plus ct200h. Mine just crossed that milestone (162,000 km in Canada) and I am wondering if the car even has much value anymore. Also I am wondering if I should sell it sooner rather than waiting until it is an extremely high mileage vehicle and is worth nothing.
