Hello everyone! I just got my new 2013 CT200h I'm a first time Lexus owner and first time hybrid owner. So far I'm liking this car more than I though I would. Awesome fuel economy and good handling to boot! I'm coming from a Jeep wrangler that I got about two months ago thinking I would go on adventures and off-road every weekend… I quickly realized that was not going to happen and the fuel consumption was killing me. Before the Jeep I had a MINI Countryman S, while the CT is much slower, the ride is much more comfortable and I like it better this way. And since a newbie post is not worth anything without pics here's one of the new ride!.

very cool. I too am a first time Lexus and hybrid owner and love my CT. I was gettting 30 mpg with my last car and now 46 mpg with the CT is so much better.

If you still have the Mini Cooper Countryman S, I suggest you get extended warranty! The main reason I got the CT 2 years back was because my Mini Cooper S was having so many problem after 55K miles. And everyone who got the same car had the same problems. I asked one of my mechanic friend about it and he told me that Mini Cooper owners are his best customers. I, then, asked him whom are your "worst" customers. He said "Lexus"... so I traded the cooper in and got the CT and never looked back.

 

That's the reason why I got rid of the MINI, I liked the car but the list of things that were replaced on the 2.5 years that I had it was ridiculous. Thermostat x4, power windows x2, radio, amplifier, power steering pump, whole panoramic sunroof, high pressure fuel pump, various interior trim pieces, a/c compressor x2... Thank god for warranties. I can't believe all of them are like that, mine must have been built on a Friday afternoon and they must have been drunk. Lol

 

Welcome to Club Lexus and congratulations on getting a CT. You'll definitely enjoy the mpg's. I believe after 5,000 or 10,000 miles you'll notice an increase in mpg's. Happy driving...
