saw the car in person at the LA auto show.. was very disappointed, the new facial looks totally out of place, looks like they just slapped it on, since this car wasn't designed to have that new lexus look, it just looks so weird
the rear spoiler was a no no, instead of a more rounded refined look like on the 2013 F sport, it's now boxy and too wannabe racer like, I'm usually a big fan of blackout hood, but this one just looks awkward on the white model.
only thing I like about it is the new rear bumper, sorry about the crappy phone photos, too many people around.

Exactly! The one piece spindle grill is supposed to look out of place. The grill is un-proportional to the car's size to begin with! Come to think of it. Such a huge grill on such as small car? It completely takes the attention away from an otherwise good looking car. The regular spindle though (non F models) should look better, as there is a natural break at the plate level.
I'll be honest here, the F spindle looks out of place even on the IS-F. The regular spindle looks a lot more attractive on the IS, as well as on the RX and the ES.
But if one looks at the differences from the current non CT grill, the only add on is the chrome look on the sides as well as the bottom. Maybe not too much difference here, but it is still elegant and not as brash as the uniform black grill on the F.
If I may, the best looking spindle grill execution on any Lexus is the regular GS.
