I'm getting a new iPhone 5S in a week or two and am wondering if I can avoid a separate car charger by charging the device in the console USB port...does anyone have experience with this? Any advice will be appreciated!

i did it with my 4S, 5, and S3.

If not I use the USB port to play music from my Itouch, and I got a dual port car open USB prort charger put that in and used a second wire to charge my iPhone 5 no problems
