Post Engine Breaking point?

Hi all,

Any recommendation on the new Engine?

I heard that it is good to use sport mode in the first 1,500mile, which will be good for the engine.

is that true?

Please advise.

Ha ha ha. Gentle acceleration and gentle braking thru the break-in and vary your speeds while on the highway. That should do it, good luck!

The manufacturers recommendation is to avoid sudden acceleration and stops. Gentle acceleration and stops should be all that you need .

Also, they mention no driving at "extremely high speeds" Can someone define what extremely high speeds is?

Drive it like you would normally drive it. Most of these new engines are pre run anyway , hence the synthetics. These little 4 poppers don't need a dyno thrashing to seat the pistons and whatnot for a super tight seal. You are using it for driving around town, not 1/4 miles runs.
You might pull another 2hp out of this monster engine .....whoa. Just drive it normally no hard takeoffs or stops. Brakes need to seat and no need to beat on a car built for gas mileage.

I believe the gentle driving manner is also to "burn in" the complex electronics that this baby got, more than your regular car.
