Yes the wiring harness is a relay system, unpliug-plug. Under the fuse box i connected directly to the postive terminal.and negative coonection to a frame screw. The cable laid under the fuse cover and made a neat clean installation Then when the lights would normally come on the trigger the relay and give a direct connection to the battery. The postive lead on the harness is fused; that is good.

I then added 4700 Micorfarad capacitors in parallel with both lights. Had to strip the wire, solder, tape and used heat shrink tubing.

Then use wire zip ties and velcro to make everything neat.

This fixed my problems even with "AUTO" and fog lights on.

Unhappy Dumping DDM replacing with Kensun HID

I am dumping DDM HID and just ordered Kensun.

I currently have DDM 55W 6000K, battery relay harness, and 4300 microfarad capactive discharge and it still ocassionally fails sometimes drive, sometimes passenger, sometimes both. Works a lot of the time; but the faliures are disappointing and unacceptable.

Ordered Kensun 35W 4300K ( this color matches the LED driving lights and better matches the Sylvania ultrawhite fogs)

So far ever since I have the HEADLIGHT OFFTIME ADJUSTMENT set OFF, I've never experienced misfire (cross fingers!). And yes, that's even with AUTO mode on!

That is great that your problem went away ; but the solution is strange, because I don't see how it relates to start-up misfires ?? However, I do like the HEADLIGHT OFFTIME ADJUSTMENT set OFF setting

Yes I don't know if it's coincidence or a solution. Even before they swapped the ballast (that had the misfires) to a new one, I also didn't have any misfire (with the old ballast) after changing to the setting. But with the new one, so far no misfire.. Knock on wood!

Default SOB!! I spoke too soon!

This freaking morning I had a misfire on my driver side! I just ordered the Kensun from Amazon. We'll see if this will eventually fixed the issue! I'm not going to mess with relay or any other additional installation needed. At least now I know how and where to install the ballast and etc. I don't mind doing it myself! I might even switch the ones I had the installation done to the fog lights. Good thing they are both H11! Makes things easier!

If Kensun doesn't work, I will put the halogen back. Can't be stressed out over these damn lights. I love this car and I want to enjoy it for the next 3 years. I hated that to have stress over the HID Kit might get messed up over car wash and driving through bumps. Don't need that kind of stress in my life! C'est La Vie!

Funny that you bought it thru Amazon. I get weekly emails from them and my email from them today was featuring the Kensun HID kits. This is the first time I've seen photos of the wiring, harness, bulbs, ballast, etc. Is it me, or does it look EXACTLY like the DDM Tuning kit? Truly, it looks exactly like what I installed (but without the fancy silver case it comes in)...
