Smile CT Test Drive Opinion

If you have driven CT and Prius, can you offer your opinion? pros and cons? from a consumer point of view?

We now own one of each so I guess I can comment....
Prius

    CT200h

After returning from the dealer the wife said that she liked the ride and the seats better then her Prius and she may consider taking mine over if I swap again before her... I think thats a good endorsement from a owner of 2 Prius's (a 06 and 10).

When I test drove the prius I had a hard time seeing out of the rear window.
I did not have a problem seeing out of the rear window on the CT.
The CT seems to be quicker on the take off in all modes.

In 'Sport" mode the 'seat of the pants' feel is more but specs say the 0-60 is about same.

Any difference in ride quality (what did your wife like better about CT ride quality) or noise levels? The Lexus HS rides pretty harshly over freeway expansion joints ... is the CT any better?

It's a tighter more responsive chassis and feel. It's a little harsher then the Prius, but the tires are lower profile and being tighter contributes to that, but it's not what I'd call real harsh or uncomfortable. Inside it's quieter then the Prius. Also her Prius is a IV with the 16" tires, the CT has 17". I tried a Prius V with the 17" tires and I thought it felt better also.

The other big factor is the seats are so much better in the CT then the Prius, that really sold her. She likes it so much, I have the dog testing my food first now

im pretty sure the rear wiper is the same one you would find on the Scion xD...which is a way to lower costs.

i would actually bet it is not the same at all... toyota sells around 30 small cars, doesnt mean they share wipers between them... it is small hatchback that has small back window and gets small windshield wiper.

Quick question on the CT, might be a deal breaker for me:

Does this car come with a full size spare tire? If not, do you think the storage well would accept one?

Closest dealer is over an hour away from me, so I can't easily go look. Thanks.

It does not come with a full size spare. There are built in hooks and straps for tying down a full size wheel in the hatch (where your supposed to store the damaged wheel after putting on the spare).
