Pre-collision not even standard or an option in Canada, now thats interesting. 51 mpg great, puts to shame the HS thats for sure.

I have a feeling they are going to sell base premium models like hotcakes. Its great they have the auto reverse camera option in the rearview mirror if you don't want NAV for only $500 or so.

F-sport parts at launch to boot. Great to see them continue to push F-sport.

Wonder will these become loaners?
This car is way too expensive IMO. I paid $38,000 out the door with the 10-year top-of-the-line warranty for a fully loaded IS250 RWD.
There is no way I would pay more than my IS250 for for a fully loaded CT200h.

It depends on how you look at it and what you value. There's a good chance you'll be spending about double in fuel for your IS 250 than you will in a CT 200h. Premium vs. Regular, 17.1 gallons vs. 9.9 gallons.

And the IS isn't available in a wagon/hatchback. If they made a new generation IS Sport Cross with a manual transmission, I'd probably deal with the fact I'd be getting 28mpg instead of 40mpg on the highway because RWD & 6MT is worth the extra money. As it stands, though, I'll take the practicality of a hatch and great MPG over RWD and a stick.
