With the 2014 Lexus CT200h that we have it is a hybrid... I am having issues finding out which freon I can use... The standard it is calling for is R123a... That is not for hybrid cars, it says if used it will cause issues with the electrictronic system... Can someone please tell me which freon can be used in this hybrid??? P.S I have already called the dealerships with no help from them...
That seems weird. All cars form that era, lexus or not, generally used R-134A. The difference is that the OIL used in the hybrid air conditioning systems is not compatible with that of conventional A/C systems in normal cars. This usually necessitates that a dealership/shop have SEPARATE A/C RECHARGE MACHINES FOR HYBRIDS/EVs so that your oil doesn't get contaminated.
By law, all cars have a sticker under the hood which states the refrigerant type and charge weight in oz.
