CT 200h as long term project
I bought a 2013 Ct 200h with 240,000 miles. Am I nutz? I like it so much, I decided to take a chance on it. It runs fine, but that's a lot of miles. I'm 78, years old, so I have a lot of miles, too. Can I keep this lovely vehicle going for 20 more years? I don't drive that much, so I'm not looking to put more than 50,000 miles on it in that 20 years period. Is it possible?

Hi there Ray and welcome to the forum and the CT! With gas prices these days, a comfortable Lexus hybrid is a good choice, and looks great too. Do you know if the headgasket has ever been replaced? What about the hybrid batteries? Has the EGR system ever been fully cleaned out? These are usually the big ticket items that causes people to have to get rid of the car. But, if you take care of those and the rest, and the car doesn't rust out, I don't see why you can't have it another 20 years!
Hi Ray
Somebody else with one of these cars put a million miles on theirs, no kidding. If your car is well-maintained and you continue to maintain it, it may be just fine. I think these older models can sometimes be known for burning a little oil, though. There was a technical service bulletin put out by Lexus, so maybe this was done on this car, hopefully.
If you create a free account here and enter your VIN, it will give you all the service records from Lexus. Have you done that? I'd be curious.
