Hello I saw a video from a Lexus ct200h being fix. This specific part was pulled out from it but the person recording didn’t say what that part is called. Thank you
It's a coolant Wye fitting on the overflow side. It comes from Lexus as an assembly with the reservoir hose.
thank you so much man! This video on Facebook about a Lexus engine failing was due to that part being broken off. So I might have it replaced to be on the safe side. I done so much work to my 2014 Ct200h from the head gasket, PCV valve, ignition coils, whole egr system replacement, intake manifold, spark plugs and so much more that my coolant is leaking a bit and I just bought inverter water pump, electric water pump and inverter radiator and radiator so hopefully along with this new part everything will be okay for another 100k I’m currently at 104,380 miles!
Wow, you had to do a head gasket on a 2014 with only that many miles?
yes, it was having really bad shakes at around 98,000 miles. EGR system was really clogged up! Now no more shakes. Just the coolant leaking from the water pump and or radiators so those are being replaced. Car is a lot of work but worth it
Good for you, those are some really good proactive things to do. My engine water pump went intermittent at approx 180,000 kms, so you're probably right on track to be thinking about it. After all of that, you should be good for quite a while longer. Just keep up with the EGR and intake cleaning (I do mine every 3 years/ 60,000kms which is probably overkill) and you'll be set.

awesome I’ll be doing EGR cleaning too aswell, I just did my water pumps and radiators since it was leaking some into the engine making it sludge. Mechanic said to do another oil change in about a week to get all that sludge out.
so now I’m good now. CT a lot of maintenance especially since I got it at 90k no wonder they sold it
Just wanted to chime in and mention that my mechanic did notice in his research that the water pumps on our CTs do seem to show intermittent failure before they completely fail.

Indeed, they do! The outer insulation of the rotor assembly breaks open and jams inside the pump, leading to a delta between commanded and actual water pump RPM. But in the early days of the failure, the pump will continue to run after a quick jam on start up.
