I don't think the IS-F brakes clear stock sized 18" wheels...........

......which may be why the you-tube video has the 19" F-sport wheels

(BTW, this info is also stated on sewell's website)

the ones mentioned are F-Sport Brakes... which are meant for the 2IS not the ones directly from IS-F... so yah... it'll fit the IS well.... no problem at all.

Well, referencing the F-Sport website, the F-Sport brakes had an averaging stopping distance of 110 feet. During our tests, we consistently had stopping distances less than 100 feet. Stock brakes had distances of 119 feet. This equates to the Brembo brakes from the IS-F being installed on an IS350 becomes comparable to higher end Porsche models - even Ferrari.

Stock 60-0 mph average distance - 122.8 feet (referenced from the F-Sport website)
F-Sport 60-0 mph average distance - 110.8 feet (referenced from the F-Sport website)
IS-F Brembo Brakes 60-0 mph average distance - 97.2 feet (testing by Sewell - Peter and Darrel and Master tech, Scott)

While I believe it is clear to all, I'm sure our testing consistency to that of the testing controls implemented by TRD could be argued, I remain very confident in our figures with clearly stating by equipping your IS250 or IS350 with the Brembo brakes from the IS-F, the stopping distance from 60-0 mpg will be less than 100 feet. Our best distance was 93 feet and our worst was 103 feet.

So wait, is the ISF brakes a direct take off and put back on swap?

Someone said a while back that the hub has to be modified and I want to know for sure, thanks!

Yes. I'm not sure if the swap couldn't have been easier. There's no cutting, bending or other modifications that have to be done.

We installed these brakes in September on the 2007 IS350 (shown on the YouTube video) and they've been on for about 10,000 miles. I say, the braking performance compared to that of stock is significantly improved. This improvement is even more so than when I installed the IS350 brakes on my 2006 IS250. What I don't know, is any direct knowledge of the F-Sport brakes.

So the upgrade isn't just for aesthetic reasons. Yes, they look good, but this isn't the reason we installed them. Who wouldn't want 6-piston Brembo calipers on the front of their IS?

Any one know of any other models with braking performance 60-0 mph in under 100 feet?

Darrel
