i'm aware of the DDM scam, but from a personal point of view, i've never had any problems with DDM's bulbs or ballasts. i'm still using the same ballast from my TL and it works just fine. bulbs have never burnt out and its been 8+ months since I had them. even before that, i've been running DDM bulbs/ballasts on my other cars with no problems either.
it's pretty much a hit or miss. i've had a couple friends that ordered 6k bulbs there but they got 5k bulbs. some ordered 5k bulbs but actually got 6k. in my case, i ordered 5k, and got 5k. the saying has always been true.. you get what you pay for. you want to go cheap, you can't expect everything to go your way. on the other hand, if you get lucky like me, you won't be running into problems. i'm a proud DDM customer.
plus what's there to complain about..? if the bulbs burn out or if their is an issue with the ballast.. use your unlimited lifetime warranty.

they're just hid kits guys.. why pay for some expensive hid kit when you can get them for a fraction of that price? hid kits aren't supposed to last a lifetime anyways..

I would suggest doing some searches on the board about different HID kits & suppliers so that you can make an informed decision. Unfortunately, some forum members have had issues with low grade HID products such as radio interference and power steering failures.

g2bme: You have to drill a hole in the dust cover to run the wires going from the bulb to the ballast. XenonDepot HID kits come with a rubber grommet that will ensure you can reseal your housing (other kits do as well).

Thanks for all the input guys. Really appreciated it. I've been doing EXTENSIVE research on different vendors over the past 2 or so months. Calling in, PMing, e-mailing and then also doing reviews. Went to several car meets from S2000's to Bimmer meets to see first hand what others went with. There was a wide range of suggestions from DDM to XenonDepot, HIDmasters was also recommended. Because of the location and the fact that installation required drilling of a hole, I went with HIDMasters.
I went this weekend, Saturday. I called in and spoke with Misha and said if we were still on at 2. I showed up a little earlier, 130PM and he was working on a civic. He was telling me I'm one of the very few that come in on time for their appointment. He started on my car exactly at 2 and by that time there were about 3 other cars waiting (mustang, 3 series, and a x5). I knew what I wanted and he actually suggested otherwise, which actually saved me money. He threw in some parking LED's for a unbeatable price and we were set. He checked the lights, made sure no flickering and that I was happy with it. I left the shop around 3PMish and got to the test the lights out that night in the rain. I went with the 6000K, which was suggested. I got compliments that night and a friend who rode with me said they were hella bright and that it was lighting up all the way down her block. I'm wondering what the 5000K looks like, because i def. wanted NO blue tint or YELLOW just pure white. I'm satisfied and look forward to sending my Honda Pilot and other friends cars to there.
