potholes after the huge storm
i've noticed in NW indiana and on the Skyway heading from Indiana into downtown Chicago that there are a huge number of new potholes (or worsening existing ones) on the roads
i've also noticed more cars on the side of the road with messed up or blown tires.
any advice for these potholes (besides avoid them?)
would making my tires over or underinflated increase my chances of "surviving them"?

The other day when it was raining really bad i was driving my F on 55th street right by midway and hit a pot hole real good(which was covered by water). It was so bad that my rear view mirror moved out of place. I am suprised my tires didnt blow but unfortunately know I have a creaking sound coming from my passenger side dash. I tried to locate where its coming from but it sounds like its somewhere behind the airbag. Sounds like two plastic pieces are rubbing. Now I fee like I am driving a junk creaking everytime I hit the smallest bump. Anyone hear of this before?

Im from the NWI area myself, and you are not lying. its bad out here. But if you ever blow a tire or crack a rim in CHICAGO...you know you can take a picture of the pothole and rim/tire if you get it fixed at a shop and you can get a refund from the city of chicago

thats pretty nice. most places ive heard of need the pothole to be reported to them before the incident.
