Default QUick Review: New Tires

Although I only have 800 miles on them, I recently replaced (after 26,000 miles) the OEM Yokohama tires with Kumho's (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....unflat%20Tires). Of course, just about any set of tires will be an improvement over old tread. But what I want to emphasize is these tires are much quieter then the OEM's were when I bought the car. Theoretically, they shouldn't be as the rubber on the Yokohama's were softer then the Kumho's. On the flip side, there is a slight change (yet negligible) in ride comfort over rough roads with the Kuhmos. But that was expected as the rubber isn't as soft as the Yokos.

As I will be doing a few road trips this summer, I expect to put 3,500 miles on the car during the next eight weeks. I should have a better idea then if the Kumho's are the value I expect them to be.

I've heard good reviews on these Kumho tires. You should be happy with them.

I also recently bought a set of Kumho's after putting 36k on the original Michelins.
So far, so good.
