Question BBK experts

Okay so I had them installed as many are aware. I was just informed the caliper is on the wrong side of the car. The box indicated to have them on the other side however the mounting bracket I guess wouldnt allow it so they installed them as they could?? I have never done this to a car leasing so I am in the dark. I have installed new rotors and pads but never replaced the calipers out.

Is it possible that Rotora placed the brackets on backwards? How can I tell what the hold up is or what needs to be done. The rotors where flipped and Tommy has been great to get everything worked out I might add

I just want to make sure before I go back to his shop.

Thank you

Not a Rotora kit but they tried to do that originally when installing my AP brakes. Claimed they didn't / wouldn't fit right. I knew a couple people that had done theirs already so after looking at it for a while I was able to figure out that the calipers were simply in the wrong box. Switch all the hardware to the other box and everything fit as expected.

Good Luck!

Thank you!

Just got off the phone with Rotora and I believe they installed the brackets to the wrong caliper so it was there mix up. Going back to confirm either way.

I am getting tooooo old for this stuff I think I am calling it quits with the rest of the plans for this car. Loosing the interest as it seems to be nothing but problems. Should have waited for a 2gen GS so I could have played with it more then this one. Oh well...It will look good anyway

Working on the 3GS is a pain in the a**, but hey at least you have a unique set-up, there are a lot less 3GS with any mods at all.

Thank you

Thats half the battle with this car. There really is no aftermarket yet and the lack of people that would want to touch the car. Oh well its all been worth it so far. PITA or not the car is really coming together.

Mike,

As long as the pistons are opposed as they are, I do not forsee any uneven brake wear etc. Not sure if it will harm anything as long as their is no juddering when braking.
