I got pulled over today as I was leaving my apartment for work this morning. I think the cop was showing a rookie the ropes and decided to pick me out.

Anyway, I got tickets for not having a front plate and front tints. For the front plate, I told him I got into an accident and had to get my front bumper fixed etc (my grill is all chipped out so it worked out well).

For both tickets, I have to appear in court with pictures showing I have put my front plate on and removed my front tints.

Questions: lets say I provide "evidence" that my front tints are off and my front plate is on. Then later, I get pulled over again for my tints... the cops won't be as lenient the second time around right? A warning doesn't go into their system but a ticket does?

Sigh... if only I was late for work today

 

Another question:

Can I show the picture on the camera or will I have to bring a print out?

All you need to do is show a picture of it "all said and done" supposedly. Either way would work. Camera or print outs.

 

No fines if I bring the pictures. I hope I won't have to pay court fees...

+1 on the different car.. What will your excuse be if the same cop sees you pulling out? lol. Maybe just find another black TL like yours on google and PS to make it look as much like yours as possible?

 

You are lucky for no fines, Illinois upped the cost of tint tickets January 1st. I knoe it sucks, all of my past cars had 35% all around. I am not bothering anymore.
