I think it's because the car's ECU is getting confused with the A/F ratios, the car is sucking in a lot more air now.

cel I have to go to the dealer, was going to go have the codes pulled and reset but I ended up getting really sick with this cold/flu going around so I left work to come home. I will go later this week to see what is going on. I know its getting more air and throwing off the A/F ratios. Talked to the tech and he said we can check the codes and reset and may not need to do anything. Once i have the piggyback figured out this wont be an issue.

more to come....

edit: FYI...the car is running smooth now. at first there was hesitation in the lower RPM's below 2k. Now the car is running and its as if the ECU has adjusted and adapted to the difference so I may not necessarily need the ECU Piggyback but I do think it will help. If I feel up to it I will try to go Thursday night.

Any updates? How's the car running now, I'm thinking it will re-adjust itself as you drive more.

^ nope, havent found the wire info yet, did you have any luck with your buddy? I will try it and it doesnt work then I will get the apexi one probably and just have to self tune it somewhere. I am going to take the car in next week to get the stuff reset and will see how the car does for a few days and if it trips again or what codes it pulls now. I have a feeling that it will keep doing this until I get something to offset the A/F ratios.

^I dont think so since it threw some errors I am guessing. The VSC needs to be reset with the toyota/lexus scan tool...I will go next week to find out. I have to go in for some recalls on my car anyway. Cant wait to see what I get for a loaner???
