The price is not bad and it has all the features I want (HUD, BSM, well kept interior, second set of wheels and rims etc)
The only problem is the Carfax, I will post it here.
Can I get some opinions on whether or not you would consider this car? The car looks fine in person but I am scared of future issues because of the accident.
Are there any good "due diligence" next steps I can do? I was thinking of calling Lexus and the police department in the area to see if I can get more information on the "collision" for example. 1pg 2pg 3pg 4pg 5pg
Well I don't know much about Canadian pricing but we do have the same car albeit a year newer but fewer miles and it's been excellent for us. The CarFax indicates that the repair work following the accident damage was reasonably minor, and the amounts recorded for the claim do somewhat confirm that. The bigger issue, assuming the car otherwise checks out, is going to be when you come to sell or trade it as a private seller. The accident will come up then and it will be presented as the reason for the offer being lower. If you're going to keep the car long term the impact will be lesser, but for the next few years at least it will hurt your resale. If you press ahead, make sure your purchase price reflects the impact of the CarFax. It will absolutely bite you in the *** later so make the most of it now as you're working out this deal if you buy the car. All things being equal I'd prefer a car with a clean CarFax to avoid headaches later but knowing what you know about the car going in you can and should use that to your advantage if you do decide to work out a deal. Good luck!

Sorry can you clarify this?
"The CarFax indicates that the repair work following the accident damage was reasonably minor"
The value was 11k CAD -- are you talking about this part of the carfax or the other "minor" item?

Yes. If the repairs were 11k, the damage that was repaired was probably mostly cosmetic / minor. 11k doesn’t buy much when insurance is paying. In other words, both incidents were probably nothing to worry about other than the impact on value - but you should check the area repaired and validate that all looks good. Again, though, unless this deal is worth it there will be many others out there without a questionable carfax.

Thanks for your posting, Eaguiar. This is the first Canadian Carfax report I've ever seen. It has details unavailable in their U.S. reports.
So, the vehicle has lower miles with the options you want but has a damage history. If the stated repair estimate was accurate (possibly questionable), figure they replaced the left front fender, hood, grille, and headlight. It's unlikely the suspension was damaged or that the airbag(s) went off.
While I personally would pass on such a unit, it may be a fair deal if sufficiently discounted (like by over 10%) because you'll take a hit upon your sale of it down the road as already said.
if the airbags deploys does it HAVE to be on the report?
In other words, given that there is no mention of airbags, should I assume there was no deployment?

I believe the deployment of the bags would change the word "minor" to "major". But I'm not sure.
Not sure how much 11k Canadian is in the US but that's quite high for a minor repair.
i personally would pass. in US our carfax does not show the price of the repairs; only the severity. even a minor collision would have me concerned. but at an $11k CAD repair is substantial and i would avoid.
