But what are these technical aspects you are referring to? OP said that there wasn't there too much of a difference between the two cars.
RWD, much superior NVH, much superior TQ curve, far more advanced double A arm front and multi link rear suspension with aluminum links, suspension geometry is far more stable at speed, weight distribution is near perfect, far superior fixed calipers and larger rotors, AFS auto leveling and turning headlights that are HID and just outright superior in all ways, a much higher capacity and quieter HVAC system, far better crash protection and diver assist items, way more seat adjustments, a far better stereo, the front glass is water repellent and all glass is UV rejecting, driveline is far better damped and isolated, doors have better sealing and are soft close......
Those are just a few things that come to mind. There are more but they are in no way at all on the same level of car.
