Hehe thx...I only have 3 at home, while the m3 is with our son who just wrapped up college.

While it is sometimes inconvenient playing musical cars to charge, never really had an issue with 2. And the mylr will be going to my sister shortly as the odd car out.

Someone did a test on this on one of the fb groups I'm part of....here's the results of soc vs 60-130mph times....

Speaking of acceleration times, I did my first dragy test on the car last night to see if the all the hype was real. Keep in mind, I have a 700whp Zupra, which runs 9s, and the highway tests I've done so far seems to be just on par with it.

However, on a private enclosed somewhat crummy road where I always go to test, I ran this time:

ive been in a lot of high hp cars ranging up to 1200hp, but this run shook me so much, I lifted early off the accelerator at the end. The car runs like a rocket freight train throughout the.whole run. Whereas my Zupra feels fast, but demure as it goes through all its gears, the Plaid just pulls and pulls and doesn't let up at all! Definitely a different experience, but scary as the suspension didn't inspire any confidence at higher speeds (hence I let off). The notorious brakes though, did actually a good job slowing it down on this run without much drama (I've had bad experience on other cars). What a car, and I can see why so many ice lovers hate it: it's like an EV cheat code that will consistently trample 99.9% other production cars readily. It beat my Zupra on the street, with street tires, full weight (my Zupra is a gutted track queen with track r compound tires). I was in awe and just was so shook at the experience with it afterwards!

Needless to say, I love the car! Acceleration wise, it greatly exceeded my expectations.im hoping I can work on mods to tame it more to make it not so violent and inspire a bit more confidence.

Nice, 9 second times is smoking fast for a street car.
Guessing you did that in a Plaid cuz I don't think Teslas go that fast but may be wrong.
Add: just rememberd the Plaid is a Tesla, Duh that was embarassing, plz ignore.

PS- you keep talking about that 900 HP Zupra is giving me a need for speed. I'll take that car all day long.

Thanks, that helps. I never really noticed the difference except when I get down to 20% so it’s interesting it loses a full second by 30%. I used to charge to 90% but now just charge to 80% each night.

As for the violent acceleration, I agree but you do get used to it and I feel that for some reason that it gets up to speed so quick and the regen slows it down relatively quickly that I feel more confident than in an ICE car and using the brakes when going that fast. Also, don’t you think it’s amazing how it puts that kind of power down with so little slippage on street tires vs. ICE?

I also have a dragy I used to use when I have my M340 to test different mods but I haven’t tried it yet on the Plaid. Maybe I should just to see.

Awesome car. Sheesh. I am planning on a M3P when Highland comes out. But the Plaid is on another level...
I guess you are OK until the Roadster 2 comes out?

There's a Plaid logo? I can't tell them apart from a P100 etc. What's the logo look like?

I'm absolutely amazed I can run a mid 9 on the street on my first attempt without even really trying straight from the showroom! Amazing, but at the same time I worry about regular kids accessing this kind of power on the used car market later.....

We actually got a m3p to replace our son's sr+ when they had the 7500 off (we wouldn't qualify for any tax credits, so didn't want to wait).

The Roadster is estimated to be around $190k, well out of our budget, and won't make a good daily driver with our 6 year old son.

I'm surprised you are not considering a bz4x instead.
I do as well.

BZ4x due to Toyota love? Unfortunately that vehicle has very specific use case out of which I am not part of.

My M3P is doing me good, would like that extra 60-70 miles of range on longer trips to save me from charging at all or to drop from 2/3 charges to 1.

Congrats!

Luckily lots of options now to replace the yoke with a regular wheel. Not cheap, but worth it.
