I don't think there's any science behind it, but I get pissed off when I'm going with the flow of traffic and there are cars in front of me and some idiot is riding 2 inches from my bumper and I can't go anywhere. You going to tailgate your way to the front of the line or what? I hate it.

My A4 Allroad only had 211hp and 258lb ft of torque. Definitely usable torque, but would be much better around 300-345. I used my car for multi-state roadtrips, canyon runs, and two track days, would definitely need to have more horsepower, especially on uphills and the motor can heat soak easy sometimes. More passing power especially never hurts.

Maybe the power should be relative to the vehicles weight. 3,000 pounds = 300 hp, 4,000 pounds = 400 hp.
