I'm sure they'll sell every single one, but won't be able to make anywhere near enough volume just like any other non-Tesla brand EV.

Yup, the Passport was a Isuzu Rodeo.

It's not a big deal at all, and I agree they'll sell every one they can make.

From 1993 - 1998 Honda also had the Honda Crossroad which was a Land Rover Discovery, and to this date the only Honda road car to have a V8.

I learned about the Honda Crossroad recently, didn't know about it either. Its kinda shocking to think a 90's Honda had 90's Land Rover build quality/reliability.

Wait, wut?

Wow. Was this tied to the Acura Legend/Sterling (Rover) sharing?

it's part of the 'neo rugged' design

exactly my thoughts. Nice to see a 'normal' looking EV come from Honda.

Same. The "Honda" on the liftgate looks horrible to me though. Not a fan of the font choice. Or the fact that they chose to use lowercase letters in the brand name, but uppercase everywhere else.

Lower case is the contemporary "in" thing for marketing and branding or word marks.
Some of the examples were not always lowercase....

Walmart
amazon
ebay
android
addidas
airbnb
new balance
Mastercard now mastercardCadillac
Mercedes-Benz. (traditionally lower case)
even mazda (uses lower case on some letters aside for the D). Originally it was Mazda, then MAZDA and finally mazDA

and now...Honda

IMO, its a brilliant move on their part for EVs and marketing

Ok team... Honda Prologue or Mustang Mach-E? Which will be the better vehicle, long term? I am talking reliability? Recalls, etc...

I like the fact that Honda/GM etc are getting into the act. Competition is good for us, the customers.
By the way, I like the clean look; it reminded me of the post Izusu Honda Passport. I think...

Long term Honda, no questions asked. Cheaper too. Fun to drive and everything else enthusiast, the Ford. But expensive

The different font choice and shift to "Honda" is a good way to separate the EV lineup from the rest of Honda's lineup, for sure. The actual font choice, and more importantly, the inconsistency, is what I'm not a fan of. It's just strange to see H o n d a across the back, with PROLOGUE, ELITE, and AWD in a different font just below it. I'm sure Honda isn't the only brand that does this, though.

Mazda actually switched over to a new font for their vehicle emblems, websites, manuals, etc. in 2020. The new font uses all caps, but the "MAZDA" is only visible on the 2020-21 Mazda6. They haven't ditched the brand emblem on the rear yet. It seems that the mix of lowercase and uppercase letters you mentioned in your previous post is now only used on the website, and only under the emblem.
