Lol! Sure man. Sure they can. They can't replicate the sound of a real engine since it would need to also vibrate the chassis. The whole car is an instrument the engine plays not just something you can pipe through speakers.

Just look how much hatred there is for fake exhaust "enhancement" there already is. People go to extreme lengths to disable it and make the engine itself louder.
