Shares basically everything with the upcoming Alfa Romeo Tonale.
Base Hornet GT starts at $30K with 265 HP 2.0-liter turbo, 9 speed automatic and AWD are standard. Koni shocks are standard along with dynamic torque vectoring. 6.5 to 60
R/T moves to a Plug in Hybrid powertrain tiny 1.3-liter turbo 4, routed through 6-speed automatic, 285 HP with electric motor out back. 6.1 to 60. More than 30 miles of EV range. Pricing from $40 to $45K.
It's a bit stunning how little effort they put to differentiate sheetmetal and hard points. I'm sure Alfa team can't be terribly happy, but they're probably happy to just get any sort of new product at all.
Didn't they learn badge engineering doesnt work? It will only kill the premium brand. AR Tonale is not the genuine Alfa product and every Alfa purist (those who actually still buy Alfas unlike others) is aware of that fact. Maybe the first year they will sell some Tonales to soccer moms and that would be it. Alfa doesn't have a comfort of Lexus/Toyota badge engineering because it doesn't have a solid foundation to fall back on like how Lexus has Toyota. And even in Toyota's case nothing is locked cause their first BEV CUV bZ4X is a mediocre product at best and RZ will suffer even more because of it. Basically RZ will fail much like HS did down the line.
This Tonale/Hornet experiment will go very wrong for Alfa Romeo.

.
Any EV that can’t go 600-700+ km in range is a mediocre product.
