Civic SUV. Like a great majority of vehicles in this class, it's fine. Whatever.
As long as it stays current, nothing to worry about and people will buy it.
Greatly improved interior though (clearly Civic based). However, I believe the Kia Sportage interior is still best in class here by a wide margin in my opinion.

It looks great, will sell extremely well. Would I ever buy one? No. Will everybody who has an aging CRV want one of these? You betcha.

We sat in a cr-v while at Honda a month or so ago and we liked it, but a little small for our needs. We preferred the passport.

The Tucson looks ok in pictures. On the road it's pretty hideous, and will age terribly. Interior is ok. Powertrain and fuel economy are still behind the Honda.

But they never will, they just go buy another CRV and don’t even look at anything else. That’s why I say I would never buy one, I’m too aware of the better options.

I wouldn't worry about it. It wasn't an objective statement, more an absolute he should have prefaced with 'IMO'. As we know he has a Santa Fe so he's going to be a little biased on this subject.

I liked the Tucson in the commercial. And then saw a transport truck carrying them on the road and I wasn't impressed with it's creases and folds and whatnot.

‘The out going CRV has more horsepower than the Tucson….the Honda has a smaller engine but makes more power…say what?

Of course the CR-V gets better mileage. Its engine is also 67% smaller than the one in the Tuscon (1.5L vs. 2.5) ...although, to be fair, there's not much difference in power-ratings. But Honda does know how to build efficiency into their gas engines.

Agreed - for average consumer, not sure you could want anything more. Looks good, user friendly interior with all comfort features, good gas mileage and good price.

Naturally aspirated 2.5 vs Forced Induction 1.5. The 1.5 is a derivative of the Civic Si motor (L15B7 vs L15BE)

Even the 1.5 Honda makes more power than the 1.6 Hyundai
