Test Drove a Model Y performance 2022
He's not CEO? It's his responsibility to run the business. If he thinks hard economic times are coming, it's his job to rightsize the opex. In the end, the cost structure of the business is his responsibility and so he is trying to manage it. It's a letter to his execs, not an open tweet.

Please. Tesla is not Tesla without Musk. And there is no EV revolution. There is so much more.
Elon just lost $120B in net worth and is still the richest man in the world. There is a reason for it.
Tesla is the most valuable car company in the world. There is a reason for it.

Well, when Steve left as Apple was maturing (or forced out more like it). Apple suffered greatly. Apple only thrived when he left after it had matured greatly. I think Elon leaves after the Cybertruck and Roadster come to market. Then Tesla has a full portfolio so someone else will take over.

I think that was a different situation where he was forced out before Apple was even a competitive company. Tesla is now very competitive pretty much outselling everyone else, and I doubt that would change if Elon was gone. Anyway like I said, it doesn't really matter because at least for now Elon isn't going anywhere
I wouldn't doubt it. But if I was one of Tesla's preferred stockholders or a board member, I would also be concerned about the next SEC investigation, or using the company for crypto speculation, political grandstanding and other distractions
Elon is a great CEO for a startup. You need someone with ego to grab attention and push the envelope in the beginning. But Tesla is now beyond that stage. At this point he's busy trying to move attention away from his sexual harassment allegations and his failed Twitter adventure. Working in a startup environment for more than 20 years and recently moving to the public phase myself, I would say Tesla needs to dump Elon and find a CEO focused on building on their strengths and moving them forward, not someone focused on gaining as much attention as they can. As someone recently stated, he's a grifter

He probably called him that because it was a Crypto that was created as a joke. By promoting it, the price shot up and Elon probably made a fortune while people following him sunk money in it (I know lots who did) lost big after it crashed

I don't always agree with Elon's antics but I do like him because he makes me laugh because he just doesn't care and isn't afraid to say what what he really thinks or the backlash that comes from it which is kind of refreshing for a change. Is he a great CEO? I don't know but what I do know is his has great vision and without him I wonder how innovative Tesla would be and whether they would push the limits like he does.

Is Elon a great CEO? Every CEO wants to be like Elon.
Is Elon a great CEO? Tesla is bigger by value than what, the next 5 car companies combined? Or is it 9 companies combined?
My favorite Musk company is Neuralink Corporation, a neurotechnology company that develops implantable brain–machine interfaces.
"The initial goal of our technology will be to help people with paralysis to regain independence through the control of computers and mobile devices. Our devices are designed to give people the ability to communicate more easily via text or speech synthesis, to follow their curiosity on the web, or to express their creativity through photography, art, or writing apps."

I didn't say he's not a CEO, I said he's not a good CEO, at least until recently. Once Tesla went from startup to public, he became the wrong CEO. That's just my opinion and observation working for a startup and many different companies over 20 years and being around several CEO's throughout my career
Not sure what you want from the man lol.
