I don't think it's a bad design at all, especially the base model. Just wasn't much of an improvement. I think the 7-series is going to look great with this nose.

I believe this is Marina Bay Blue

Depending how the new exterior and interior styling looks on the smaller X5 and X3 I don't see anything with the look that would prevent me from considering an X5 or an X3.

Its not horrible looking, but the headlights are ugly, and the interior center console, infotainment screen and gauges are awful. The rest of the car is fine.

It looks like X5's LCI is not gonna look like this one. Some may not like how this new X7 looks but at least one can easily tell it apart from X5/3. Except the extension of the DRL, current gen looks fairly close to X5. And X3 with upgraded light looks almost identical to X5 with upgraded light. They should make their cars a little more different from one to another. But to be fair, ES and LS look fairly alike from a distance. I can't tell one or the other from a distance.

LOL so basically everything they changed is awful and you like the older one better. Not that I disagree.

Yeah, pretty much, lol. Not that I like the old one either, BMWs were great up until they went full retard with digital clusters. That's when they lost their essence, not that X7 could ever fit into BMW's essence anyway.

Compared to the new RR we had in the other thread, the X7 doesn't fare well at all.

Can’t say I disagree with that either. The digital cluster was really a lost opportunity to do something good and they pissed that away with a pretty bad example, if not the worst example I have seen. Audi and MB digital clusters are way better.

I agree, it looks tacked on, not integrated at all. Splitting the headlights with the DRL's above remind me of Hyundai.

Looks like the new 7 series are pretty accurate. The front end is probably going to look very similar to this.

I showed the refresh X7 to my wife. She says it looks like a Rolls Royce. It....kinda...does? The flat angular front I think it what makes her think that

So apparently the engine in the refresh is different than the prior models but the same output, weird. Why not juice it up a little?

My husband said the same thing when he saw that and the 7-series front end. I think it's even more apparent on the 7-series as both the hood and trunk heights are elevated compared to the typical sedan.

Agreed and now you can get the Range with the BMW V8 to pair with great styling.
