Question 2 sets of TPMS codes or clone?

Hello all,

Got a 2022 Lexus UX 250H. I have TPMS sensors on the original rims. I also have a 2nd set of winter rims. They are original Lexus rims with a 2nd set of TPMS sensors. Can the car hold 2 different codes? Or is there a way to clone the 2nd wheel set with the same ID as the first set? Or do I have to reprogram them each time I swap from winters to all seasons?

Not sure how Lexus TPMS operates, but I have the same situation on my BMW, and no need to reprogram anything, sometimes just requires a reset after swapping the wheels. You should be fine.

Allegedly, newer Toyota and Lexus no longer require ID to be programmed into the vehicles tpms module. Car care nut has a video on YouTube illustrating the newer(2018 and up) tpms sensors and their function. If I’m correct he stated that if you have rubber valve stem as opposed to the aluminum valve stem, you have the newer generation tpms sensors. Frank
ps- make sure your other set of wheels has the newer gen tpms sensors as well or they won’t program.
