Rich Rebuilds and his team put a V8 in a Model S. They went OEM as much as possible.

totally stupid project, but that video was funny...

 

Used to love his channel when he focused on repairs and mods now it's mostly fluff and being "edgy". Too bad. This car is Rich being butthurt and giving Tesla the middle finger because they wouldn't allow updates on cars he hacked together.

 

cool project and happy to see it run. followed some of the build on YT but most of the time i couldn't stand the presentation which likely caters to the early 20s crowd. get of my lawn!

That's no longer a Tesla, same as for example a classic car with a Tesla drivetrain. Looks like a classic but it's not.

 

Just a technicality, but there's a typo in the Thread title......."Telsa" should be Tesla.

Maybe this new V8 Tesla build is the reason why the Tesla stock has lost all of its electricity the last two days

 

Rich should do a few more so the stock really tanks. People losing buckets of money on their investments is pretty damn funny.

 

The only reason I could ever see for real world application is if the car was flooded or totalled and rebuilt and the electric drivetrain components were more expensive to replace. Then again, the level of fab required in this build probably cost more than just buying a new model S.

 

I think it's brilliant. If you guys watched the video, this car is basically Rich's way of laughing at and with SEMA, which he considers an event that exists soleley to destroy cars with mindless modifications. Which is exactly why he brought this car to SEMA.

 

Some people have more $$ than brains, I guess...
