cool project and happy to see it run. followed some of the build on YT but most of the time i couldn't stand the presentation which likely caters to the early 20s crowd. get of my lawn!
The only reason I could ever see for real world application is if the car was flooded or totalled and rebuilt and the electric drivetrain components were more expensive to replace. Then again, the level of fab required in this build probably cost more than just buying a new model S.
I think it's brilliant. If you guys watched the video, this car is basically Rich's way of laughing at and with SEMA, which he considers an event that exists soleley to destroy cars with mindless modifications. Which is exactly why he brought this car to SEMA.
