Couple of well known motor examples from a thread where a guy gathered the many of the specs from the manufacture themselves.

Mopar 440 CID V8
gross hp/torque 370/480
net hp/torque 305/400

Pontiac 400 CID V8

gross hp/torque 300/400
net hp/torque 250/340
Excellent info. And if you think about what HP actually is, it couldn't be any other way. It's a calculated value, not a measured one. Torque is measured, then HP is calculated using that torque curve, using the formula HP = (TQ x RPM)/5252

I stopped following the Z06 saga on the corvette forum - is the entire 7 year model run still sold out? That will never hold up, the number of people on that list who are flippers must be close to 50%. But it will be fun to watch what happens with this model.

You can easily get one if you pay over.
I have been on GT3 list with hefty deposit for over 2yrs and hindsight should of paid $20k ADM to get allocation because Porsche raised prices significantly for 2023MY.

I doubt i will get a Z06 or GT3 without paying $25-50k over unfortunately. The dealers are greedy and the ppl buying early ones are flippers - its all a game. They got GT3 put 2,000 miles; sold it and now waiting for GT3RS to come in. Rinse and repeat.

Well he lives in Kansas I believe which helps.
He gets nice money from YouTube, sponsors, and he has several shows - CarTrek, Car Issues.

I see, he made it seem like this is all from youtube. He said he had some burger joints and had to get a 8000 loan to buy a used prius go drive around and open them, "then youtube happened". Sounds like a Vehicle Virgins type of thing where is family has a ton of money. I get very suspicious of these Omi in a hellcat types selling false dreams to people.

I am amazed at what youtube pays content creators based on views - and also amazed that anyone is still using a browser that doesn't block the ads.

There are a ton of car related Youtubers that make millions but most of it is from sponsors not only YouTube. Look at AdamLZ, the guy is definitely not from wealthy family. The little product promos they do on their videos are huge $$$ not to mention merch sales etc.
