I read many comments on how Lexus technology is so far below the rest of the industry on this forum. Top technology is way down the list for me. I want a nice looking, quiet, reliable vehicle that is inexpensive to maintain. I have always thought although could be better for me it was fine. J D Power just came out with their ranking on technology an Lexus is above industry standard and 13th out of 32.

 

This is a "so what" ranking. All those companies that are ahead of Lexus are blown away by Lexus, when the quality rankings are done. Which to me means the other companies either don't have technology that matters or they don't know how to implement it.

 

it isn't a technology ranking, it's a technology experience ranking... quite different.

note the top 5 are all luxury brands that compete with lexus.

for lexus to be below subaru, nissan, GMC in technology experience is pretty pathetic.

i see tesla beat everyone but somehow didn't mean the eligibility criteria for the ranking.

 

There probably could have been a better title for the thread.

 

I'm always surprised at how poorly Audi does in these assessments. MMI was loved by the press, but not so much by the public it seems.

 

Been watching on the you tube. Many are complaining about the new Genesis system in that it is not as ergonomically easy to use. The new dial is out of touch with the trends and the screens are too far for the touch.

 

Genesis has nothing to worry about when they and their Korean siblings dominate this list lol. A handful of journos don't speak for the public.
