Southbound on the Florida Turnpike today heading into South Florida, my daughter sent me these pics. The turnpike was at a standstill for a couple of hours. Who can identify make and model? Any experts can get the year?
I was thinking Bimmer SUV coupe but I’m probably wrong…
{Edit: replaced one pic with one that shows the rear a little more.}
The headlight fender cut too… just throwing me off because I think the fuel door was on the driver side on those but can’t tell if it’s there in this image

definitely VW, looks like a Jetta. Honestly with a worded description I probably would have gone to VW right away anyway, but the door handles and shape are a near giveaway. Sad situation for someone, I’m sure.
The chrome delete, Door handle delte, Flat paint, maybe a wrapped?
The amber delete also a nice touch.
Very individualistic. Not crazy about the wheel gap. me, I’d gone more carbon fiber.
I'm going with a 6th gen VW Jetta - 2011-2018MYs (2017 photo below).
I'm basing this on the cut line of the rear door, the slight Hofmeister kink, the location of the rear door handle, the proportioning of the lower edge of front and rear doors, the crease in the sheet metal near the lower part of the doors, and the cutout in the front fender where the front sidemarker would be.
While receipts could be produced would mods be covered by insurance company in the event of fire? custom wheels, suspension mods, high end audio, carbon fiber bits etc………easy to put 5k or so into a car. Would insurance co remedy the loss?
What if owner miswired new audio system that would cause the fire? Would that be covered under no fault?

Typically you have to purchase that coverage for "additional parts" or "aftermarket part coverage" and add it to your policy. It is $$$$ with every insurer to add on coverage, and you have to keep meticulous records of your parts that are purchased and installed on the vehicle. If you've purchased that additional coverage along with your full coverage, it should be covered in either a collision or comprehensive claim (i.e. fire not resulting from collision).
I don't know if it would be covered even in the event of a bad installation but I am inclined to say it would, as I'm not sure if that level of investigation is even undertaken or reviewed by the insurance company unless arson or fraud is suspected.
