is bluetooth not connecting an actual problem or is it user error? Ive never had troubles connecting bluetooth to my phone in a number of cars and rentals over the years. MUCH harder to contribute an exploding engine to user error as you can with bluetooth or voice recognition

Have you ever filled out an IQS survey?

Several times..........but not as often as with CR surveys. JDP likes to bribe you by sticking money-bills in the envelope with the survey.

GM/Cadillac once invited me (and about 8 or 9 other people) to a local focus-marketing meeting to get our input on the then-new 1Gen 2001 Cadillac CTS...a vehicle that, in general, I was not very impressed with except for some of the (IMO) nice colors offered. (The later 2Gen version was far better, and IMO was the best of the three generations). They paid us, I think, (if my memory is correct) around $95 in cash that night...which, of course, if you are an honest person (as I am), you have to list on your taxes.

I asked him, you know from having filled fhem
out, “engines exploding” aren’t reported. It’s a satisfaction survey.

Well, Tesla has the high customer satisfaction ratings in the market, and JD Power puts it dead last. Of course, Tesla spends little to nothing on advertising, so they would not be a target customer for JD Power.

Are you referring to their IQS or Satisfaction survey?

Exactly. That pretty much verifies what a number of us in Car Chat have been saying for several years.....Tesla's hype is living off its image more than reality. And that hype has driven up the stock price to absurd bubble-levels.

Tesla is living off a very strong initial user experience during the warranty period. Out of warranty there are nightmare stories to read about. At this point it does not matter.. but it will later on

I get a bill for over $13,000 from Tesla to replace the HV battery
They are quoting $10,900 to replace the DU
