My daughter left the car in N. over night. Battery dead in morning. When recharged message read "reduced engine power, 4x4 disengaged". What can I do ? Cant drive up my driveway hill

 

Restart the engine couple times or drive the car (on normal surface) for few miles and see if the the CEL goes away. OR - if you have an ODB2 scanner - use it to reset the code.

 

What is an obd2 scanner? Where can I get one ?

Because it was battery related will it be a cheap fix?

 

I might not cost anything - sometimes the electronics go crazy when battery dies and it takes some driving or restarting to get things back to normal.

 

It is a 2020 NX 300. Sadly my driveway is a hill car will drive the 10 yards of flat but dies as I start up hill. Will try restart restart

 

Have you driven the car some distance (several miles) away from the house and back? I think you said the battery is recharged, but how did you do that?

If it says reduced power and 4x4 disabled it's in some kind of 'limp home' mode which is usually when the engine's sensors have detected a serious problem - not just a flat battery.

Something may need to be reset - drive it to the dealer?
