Oh yeah, this is also being built at the same plant alongside the Toyota Corolla Cross. Of course, the cars share no parts whatsoever and are on two separate production lines.
I love it. The boxier, lower, and wider proportions make it look so much better than the CX-5. Can't wait to see the non-"offroad" trim and this makes me excited for the CX-70/90 as well.
As a CX-5 replacement, it's fine. But as Mazda's attempt to redefine itself as a "premium brand" I'm not really feeling it. At best this can only match the Toyota Venza.
Also, could they have at least tried to differentiate the interior a bit more from the CX-30?
It's a nit-pick, I know, but why the fixed analog tach? It's a lost opportunity to have a more configurable digital portion of the IP. It's not like they are going to offer a MT.

I fully agree with you. I have a CX5 and this looks so much better! Kinda disappointed that this isn't the I6-RWD product that I was waiting for. Looks great though!
