That is what we call “unconstitutional”. Police can’t just perform a drug test on a person because they know the person has used drugs or alcohol before. You have to have a reasonable suspicion at the time of the incident. Prior incidents is not a constitutionally-permissible reasonable suspicion

BTW, all this discussion about personal habits makes me remember an old saying that a "Tiger" doesn't change his stripes.
Not always true in real life, but a widely-used stereotype.
Also, people don't always have to have actual convictions before to be subject to drug-tests. If you work in some organizations like intelligence (CIA, FBI, NSA, etc...), law-enforcement, or the military, you may have to take regular drug-tests regardless of your previous records.....it is simply a condition of employment. his has been upheld in the courts for years.
For an everyday example, take someone who has been convicted of multiple DWIs. If the judge doesn't actually pull their driving-license outright, he or she may order the use of an alcohol-detection system in that person's vehicle that will prevent an engine-start. That, in effect, tests you every time you get into the vehicle.

NY Times is a joke, CNN/MSNBC are clownshows, CBS news/60 min stoop to manipulating video/what people say to push their agenda, they are all a joke so attacking NY Post for its "credibility" when they have broke some pretty important stories over the miserable excuses we have for news media that don't even really try to hide their bias/agenda is pretty rich.

Whatever mistakes he's made in life, he's still a professional golfer. And, as a professional golfer, he knows better than to mess with drugs. You aren't going to make a Hole-in-One from 300 yards away with that stuff in your system. 
It is my opinion that he got special treatment, naturally. As if there was no PC, I just don't believe that.
Being worth 900MM he really doesn't have too many concerns in life.

Opioids and pain killers are highly addictive substances. “Just say no” is not an effective safeguard against addiction. TW has access to excellent healthcare so I would hope his docs would see signs of problems before it’s too late. But it happens to lots of people—elite athletes too.
