Imagine if they designed a real coupe or sedan in that style instead of trying to make a clunky SUV look like a coupe/sedan, it would look so much better. Not sure who would buy this, once you start taking away ride height, headroom, storage in SUV's you might as well buy a much better looking coupe or sedan.

I think we're actually seeing the opposite. People now view the crossover coupes as the new sedans.

4 Years away for 2025
3 and half years for 2025 model year
10 years on electric car timeline

3.5 years is an eternity in the auto biz that's almost a generation of vehicle.

I wonder what those 5 covered up Lexus cars behind Koji Sato are. He said 2 product reveals in 2021 : I assume a new NX and .....?

What gets me excited is that one or two of the covered up cars look like midsize sedans. One can only hope an electrified GS replacement is in the works.

Nice, Tesla tech + Toyota reliability. That would ne the EV that I will consider to switch from ICE.

That's what gets me excited.

I have no patience for beta products from Tesla or the Germans.

Rock solid Lexus build quality and reliability behind an EV tells me that BEVs are now ready for Prime Time. Enough with the children's toys from Tesla, the Lexus BEVs are now ready for grown-up workloads and daily driver functionality.

Unfortunately the trend now is bigger is better even though interior usability space is the same. In fact Polestar 2 interior space is less than BMW 3 series. I'd just really hate to see idiots buying Cybertruck due to cool factor but it will take up two stalls in mall parking lot and blocking view.

Can’t stand the driver touching and swiping the screen every 2 seconds. Touch screens are so year 2000.

I’ve cleaned up a lot of needless OT, personal comments and repetitive negative posts.

Let’s have a productive conversation, if you’ve said something in past threads how about giving it a rest.
