New Hemi in da house!!!!!
My father bought a brand new Hemi dodge ram 2500! Bringing the total number of family vehicles to 7!
Ranked according to speed!
Our fleet includes.
1. 2003 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE 245 HP
2. 2003 Dodge Ram Hemi 1500, 345 HP.
3. 1995 Lexus SC300, (mine) 225 HP
4. 2003 Dodge Ram Hemi 2500 345 HP, (NEW!!!!!!)
5. 2001 Dodge Ram Magnum 5.9 245 HP
6. 1998 Ford Mustang V6, 145 HP
7. 2001 Hyundai Accent 91 HP
My mom will now get the altima (lucky she gets the current faster car of the house.)
And Oh an tow away RV was bought, last friday 0 hp.

The 1500 is smaller, has a different suspension and a lighter gearing where power comes on strong 4000-6000 rpm.
Its more of a sports truck. It is the second fastest truck behind the lighting. In a recent race between A silverado SS Vortec 6000, My brother's hemi won, by a car lenght.
And he deffinitively pulled on me when he went WOT and I went WOT. It wasnt a Side race and thank god becuase he would of definitively owned me.. and not by a little.
The 2500 Heavy Duty Has the exact same engine, but a heavier gearing, and is a slightly larger and heavier truck. (the body is the same though)
Power comes on strong down low, and is no match for the 1500 on race day, but itd certainly hand it its *** on a towing contest.
I could probably pull on the 2500, My SC300 is in between the 2 trucks in terms of speed, but I bet im closer to the 2500 then the 1500.
My older brother in the 1500 made me feel slow, my poor poor lexus.

all a hemi is, is a motor with hemispherical combustion chambers...
there are probably lots of other motors that have this qualification too... tho Dodge uses the name for brand recognition reasons...
i raced a Ram 1500 the other day... he had an exhaust on it and was revving at me like he was hot stuff... i proceeded to whip his *** hardcore by a couple buslengths through 2nd and 3rd gear

Heh, the problem is my car is missing that snail that you have on your engine bay.
Stock for stock the 1500 ram is faster then me (SC300.) As my brother demonstrated. Well he does have a K&N, Air extension tube with a filter, and the stock air filter removed, (or as some people call it, an "intake". Im bone stock.
Oh come one the inside of the altima is greatly exxagerated, sure my interior is a tad bit better, but meh I dont mind the altima's interior.
As of now I wouldn't mind altimas speed, but bah, by winter time Ill whup it.
Thats the only bragging right I have in the family, guy with the best interior...

I test drove a 2500 heavy duty with the hemi before I bought my GMC 2500HD. In all honesty, the GMC felt much more powerful, 6.0l with 4:10 gearing. I actually got a run in with one and got him off the line and held him off to 60 or so (fast enough for a 6000 lb truck). Now my uncle on the other hand has a '03 with the HO cummins engine and 6 spd. That truck moves

you got a 5-speed or auto? i could have sworn i ran neck and neck with a new 1500 before i put the snail in... i know Tundra V8s hung pretty damn well with the car...
