Lexus IS500 F SPORT Performance
No prepped surfaces or 1-foot rollout for me

The only sad part is that I didn't test the RC F Fuji Speedway (a review I'm working to finish now) so I won't be able to compare to that other than butt dyno reactions.
Hey @MPalmer , something I have wondered about with this car is what difference ASC makes in the sound. This is something is was worried about with the 350 before I picked mine up, and was relieved to see that it could be disabled. I have driven an RC F before, but I don't remember whether ASC was turned on or off. I thought it sounded great, though, and not nearly as artificial as I was expecting based on review videos, so it may very well have been turned off. Anyway, now that this car is out, I hope that the ASC is either good-sounding or defeatable.

Hey, Folks, Michael here from the ClubLexus Editorial Team.
We'll have our IS 500 in for review in a couple of weeks, but as you probably know, we won't be able to share our driving impressions or pricing info until September 10. Still, we'll be able to make similar videos to what's posted above about looks and sounds, etc.
Please let me know if you have any questions in advance!

1) why is the superior 10speed trans not being paired with the V8 like it is on LC500?
2) why does the IS500 not sound as good as LC500 and what is the difference in exhaust systems?
3) what is anticipated production run for IS500?
1 & 2 are for sure platform related - for #1 the 10-speed does not fit the "New N" platform that the IS uses, and is meant for the TNGA-L platform cars (i.e. LC500, LS500). #2, the LC500 has true dual exhaust I believe, and the IS does not due to packaging/platform constraints.
Even at $70k, its a tough sell. 0-60 in mid/low 4s is pretty standard for the M340/S4/AMG 43 crowd and those sell in the low $60k range well equipped. It would be the best car in segment at low $60k. It would be overpriced at $70k.
I don't see that happening, but we'll see.
They'll price it right. Some people won't care and just get it anyway.
IS has really got it right. A black one of those with the sport package is stunning, one of the slickest looking cars on the road.
