Rip 4th gen rx?
Anyone see the press this month for lexus/toyota? Seems like the car brand has gotten the message as many of us arent happy with our interiors, performance, as well as exteriors for the price we paid.
https://global.toyota/en/newsroom/le...n%20of%20Lexus.
Of course owning a 4th gen rx I dont really mind the minor year to year updates as my car wont drastically depreciate as much but I've always thought lexus was quite plain and lackluster but the reliability always get me to buy one. The new brand image is pushed from the need to go electric and they also have taken some design elements from lucid motors spelling out lexus in the rear which looks really nice. Btw anyone in the rumor for the lucid merger? Ticker $CCIV, debating selling off as I already made +100% in a span of two and a half weeks lol..
But back on topic this redesign actually seems like it will kill our long lived 4th gens. Toyota/lexus has the opportunity to start from scratch and this is a time in their brand where I believe their production cars will actually look like the concept cars as they will introducing new models in the near new future. The nx will be the first to be redesigned from some random sources I've read about online. I think ill be selling my 4th gen this year and wait to see what lexus comes out with before I purchase another lexus, who knows they might replace the rx with another suv.

The spy shots of the new NX still seems to show the hourglass grill, just smoother body lines, not as angular as the 1st generation. From what has been published so far, but not confirmed, is changes in drivetrains. Hopefully, interiors will show a more luxurious side on the NX and other models going forward.
