Honestly, I would buy the SRT Hellcat Durango before any GM product with the exception of the escalade.

Why the Escalade over the mechanically-similiar Yukon and Suburban? Because of the extra bling?

You may or may not be surprised to the extent human beings go to, for "prestige." I didn't know at the time but I was sold the "Li" model of the AC condenser series. It's reserved for the top of the line for each series, single stage, dual stage, variable. It means the condenser gets topped with a plastic guard--and when it comes from the factory, the fan is mounted upside down. Another benefit is 9/10 of your neighbors will not have this prestigious plastic top on their condenser. You can add this piece to the ones that don't come with it, for about $650, whose fans are mounted right side up. As a result, putting this plastic top on, it also, it costs .5 SEER--that's the kicker on how far people go for appearance. To draw an analogy, I suppose fake dual exhaust, fake vents on fenders, fake lights, fake M and AMG badges and designations, it's really the same sham wow.

At any rate, why Escalade, well, this is a Lexus forum, if anyone would know, forum members here would. GM always did a good/better/best, Advantage/Professional/OE, Silver/Gold/OE. If a Caddy is 96k, a GMC 83k, maybe the Chevy would be 70k. Still looks good to me. Probably the Caddy can't be justified on the warranty delta alone, but there are other intangibles and tangibles. The OLED dash and then it would fit in nicely at the club, when there was one that is.
