Default Lexus Commercials/Marketing

Our greatest "curiosity"? Overly artsy, yet vague and shallow when it comes to actual car details. Feels more like an Obsession cologne ad from the 80s than a car commercial. Anybody else feel like their commercials and marketing seem a little boring and dated?

Not sure. They are for a different generation. Past Lexus marketing was all about the product, new stuff is about a “lifestyle” to what the brand can “provide”

most recent one of memory is the RX where the couple goes surfing...

some of the new ads for LS that come to mind have great looking men and women inside the LS or other cars with great clothing etc.

I'd much rather have the traditional vague and somewhat pretentious luxury car ad over the Tesla "non-commercial" modern method of flooding social media and getting random eastern European vloggers to open entire YouTube channels dedicated to worshiping Elon and trash-talking every other company they perceive as a rival.

Always did think (and probably always will) that the best Lexus ads were those done by James (Mr. Lexus) Sloyan...who, in reality, was an actor. Back then, however, a Lexus was a Lexus.....and built like it.

Outdated and boring in the modern era.

Anything but boring. Notice how Sloyan phrases it in the first video....."The LS is designed to stir the soul....and little else". I think that was one of the best (and most accurate) lines I've ever seen in a car commercial.

Didn’t watch them...but I know the voice. They were very efficient indeed.

He sold out and started doing Kia ads and taking swipes at Lexus. Now he’s doing the McDonalds fries and nuggets commercials.

I liked him best as the Romulan defector Jerok in Star Trek TNG

Even as a kid I thought the LS commercial was cool.

Would you believe that, after doing those classic 90s Lexus ads, he started doing ads for Mitsubishi?

Yeh today’s ads are shallow. Yawn.

I just don’t associate with no name models dressed up in expensive clothes pretending to be successful. While in reality they are no better than the guy next door.

They are running a lot of ads during the U.S. Open telecasts, many of which feature the LC 500.

The manufacturers must have clamored for his golden voice

Seeing that I watch very little live TV nowadays, I really don't watch many ads at all. Can't even tell you the last time I saw a Lexus commercial.

They're all over YouTube. The newest one I saw had the driver get into the car and get surprised by another person waiting for them in the back seat. There's some singing involved. I can't hit the skip button fast enough.
