I think the Interior is better executed than the S class because it has less of an expansive dash. The S class is too big and the proportion leaves so much empty space, even with that large piece of wood/carbon trim. The C class with its smaller interior looks better proportioned.

I agree, the interior works much better on here than the S-Class. The large round vents on the dash also stand out much more than those tiny asymmetrical rectangular ones on the S-Class.

1.5l I4 engines are gonna be available in some overseas markets. 170hp. I hope Lexus never goes this route. Disappointed to see Mercedes do this

Get those V8s now! Haha
When AMG is going all hybrid and downsizing to 4cylinder engines - you know the end is around the corner.

This is why i think the IS500 news is so great and don’t get how anyone can be mad at it.

I was at a red light yesterday side by side with brand new G63 Amg with the side exhaust pipes. Open road in front of us - the guy just stepped on it when light went green and that V8 roar is just amazing.

I’m all for EVs, hybrids etc but why take away the performance engines. It doesn’t have to be one or the other.

this is nothing new. The 1.5 is already available on the current model in some markets. If Lexus ever wants to be a major player in Asian markets, they should put out engines that small.

Those C63S AMGs are amazing beasts. I had one next to me on an onramp and we both stepped on it and he actually kept up with me and all I could hear was that insane V8 roaring right next to me. He also had an aftermarket exhaust because it was LOUD! Those things get pretty pricey though...almost $100k fully loaded. It will be pathetic once they go the 4 cylinder route for the AMGs. Still don't know what they are thinking.

I like it so far. I feel like the current C Class is way too bloated and chunky looking.

Not if you lived in those markets and had to pay what they pay for gas, and were already used to cars with smaller engines.

Look on this Wiki page to see all the engine choices of the current C Class, not just in North America.

Unfortunately that is not the way too many dumb politicians and gov. figures see it.

Perhaps it bears mentioning that many countries impose significant fees and barriers to entry for passenger cars based off of engine displacement. Now THAT is an antiquated way of reducing emissions but the rules remain in place regardless.

all these reasons are part of why i got an LC500 with a V8 and with no engine auto start/stop.

it's the end of an era.
