I don’t like the exterior or interior. Maybe the AMG or even the AMG appearance package will make it look better. But then there is the 4 cylinder issue...
those pictures make it look exactly like the A class, but I think the tiny pictures make the proportions look off. And it not being amg line is not helping.
Well isn't that just boring. However, the new interiors dont bother me, which is a very unpopular opinion.
I'll also say an all 4-cylinder lineup completely removed this car from consideration anyway. That terrible 4 cylinder noise is a complete non starter for me.
Everyone complaining about the 4-cylinder aspect, should remember the ancestry of this nameplate. A Mustang GT it is not.
Back in 1983, the only compact Benz you could buy was the 4-cylinder 190 upon USA intro. And if you wanted to step up to 6 cylinders in 1983, only the grey-import lofty 280E I6 was your choice at the top of the "E-Class" W123 lineup or the uber pricey S-Class with both 6 and 8 cylinders until the inline-6 190E 2.6 for 1986.

"W123" 1984 280E I6 AMG
"V126" 1981 380SEL V8 Sedan USA (1981)
"W201" 190E 2.6 I6 (1986)
Going to a 4-cylinder only compact range, is returning to form. I4 for the compact range, 6 cyl for midsize, and V8 for flagship only. Besides, these are these are the numbers for the C63 AMG next year.
It's not like how Lexus abandoned a V8 in the 2018 LS, which had always used one from 1989 inception to 2017. Outrage was warranted there, here not so much.
The original W201 190-Class didn't debut in 1982 with a V8 AMG nor did even the first generation C-Class in 1993. 190E never offered a V8 nor did the next 190 (renamed C-Class), until much later. C36 AMG in 1994-95 was an I6, replacing 190W 3.2 AMG.

V8 was a midcycle facelift addition with C43 AMG in 1997. "W202 Facelift" C43 AMG USA (1997-2000) C43 AMG 4.3L V8 (1997)
Followed by C55 AMG in 2004, and C63 AMG in 2007. They actually briefly abandoned V8 AMG in the C-Class in 2000-2001 in favor of supercharged V6 C32 AMG, which C55 replaced mid-cycle. "W203 Facelift" C55 AMG (2004) C55 AMG 5.5L V8 (2004) "W204" C63 AMG (2007) C63 AMG 5.5L V8 "W203" C32 AMG (2001) "W202" C32 AMG 3.2L V6
The non-USA 190E 3.2 I6 AMG was rare as hen's teeth in 1992-93. BMW disappointingly abandoned the NA V8 M3 in favor of TTI6 and could easily abandon I6 on the 3-Series altogether on a whim. I own 2 E9x M3s powered by S65 V8 and 1 F82 M4 bought out of lease.
AMG 190 3.2 I6 1992 W201 190E 3.2 AMG 1992
I can understand Mustang, Corvette, or LS owners being upset, but not so much a C-Class that started with an I4.
As you can see, the V8 era for the C-Class IS OVER! Before 1986, they were strictly Inline 4 in this class. Before 1982, smallest Benz was the ancestor to the E-Class called W123 (chassis code). It's not really sacrilege.

Funny how this is so similar to this Toyota Camry design proposal for the 2018 Camry, dated 2014.

Watching videos of it now. I actually like it. The interior the dash seems to come up taller and the instrument screen sits down in the dash more and see a to stick up less than in the S Class, looks much better IMO.
I just watched the KBB video. The new C class is a great looking car. It might be on my radar in a couple of years although size wise the E Class might fit our needs a little better.
