davyjordi - your reasoning for moving on is the same reason for me. I was a diehard Lexus/Toyota guy and for the first time in 20+ years I don’t have at least one Toyota product in my household.
yeah, it's sad. i'm really rooting for lexus and i hope that they can get back on track, but they are really behind everyone in everything save for reliability and dependability and that alone isn't going to sustain the marque.
back to OP - what color is your new ride? alpine white or mineral white or a different shade of white? it doesn't look like alpine white as that's what i have - your car looks to have a prettier shade of white.

Same for me. I always had a Toyota product but decided to move on. We still kept it in the family when I sold my IS350 to my niece but I still answer all the car questions in the family so I try to keep up to date on things that can go wrong with it.

go wrong with the IS350? nothing is going to go wrong with that car outside of routine consumable items like brake pads, air filters, fluid changes and those things aren't really going 'wrong' they are just part of proper maintenance. if she keeps the car well over 150k miles then, yeah, you might run into items like the water pump failing or something but that vehicle is rock solid.
Congrats, my M340I has been stellar, 13 months thus far and over 12k miles. It's a blast to drive. I took a chance for the first time and got a Lexus 3IS and it was a disappointment ( mainly the engine/tech) and thus I ended up back at BMW which was where I was before I tried Lexus.
PS. Fastest Tuned M340i now running mid 10's in the quarter, these cars have massive potential for those who want to mod.
disappointing to read - what are the main reasons you think lexus products are not appealing these days?
I never thought I'd ever drive a bimmer. I was a Lexus fan for many years. But after almost 20 years, here I am.... My main beef with Lexus these days is lack of innovations, they stopped pushing the envelope. They went bold with their designs 8 years ago, but that's about it. Nothing else followed after. This brands desperately needs new engines, new tech, new models. I cannot believe that 5 years ago we were all making fun of Acura here, and what it had become. Now 5 years later, Lexus is not too far behind. I do wish that something changes in future and Lexus gets back on track.
I don’t have an issue with remote touch, never have.
It's not the remote touch that I dislike as much as the actual Enform software. This has largely been mitigated with CarPlay though. Wireless CarPlay is the bomb though. Really nice feature.

except like on the 2020 lexus IS you can't get carplay which is insane. the 2021 will surely have it whenever that model is released (as covid has delayed everything) as being an "all new" version as lexus is touting it but really it's just a reworking of the current generation IS which in turn was just a reworking of the second-generation IS. they need to start from scratch. like what the hell are they thinking using the same drivetrains that trace back to 2006?
and then while they're at it they drop the gs entirely?

I agree, luckily Lexus still has some RWD models and cars like the GSF/LC/LX etc. If and when these are discontinued then we'll be right there with Acura and its sea of boring cars. Acura has been dead to me for decades; I still don't know why anyone would buy one today. However, if the new TLX-S thread is any indication; apparently, many here are a fan which I wasn't aware of. There's nothing Acura makes today i would buy which puts me in the minority.
Wheels are being related to winter/travel duties so sits in my backyard she'd! 😁
Thanks for all the kind comments!
I share the same sentiments as most on here about Lexus/Toyota: not enough innovation, stale product lineup, nothing for car enthusiasts anymore. Just aged cookie cutter designs with outdated engines.
Ps - put on roof wrap...
