Good information here, as I like both the GS and NX.

Make sure you check out the Mustang’s steering- very impressive. I have wanted to try a Camaro when on vacation but my wife never packs light enough for our luggage to fit in that trunk!
Interesting. Basically everything I've ever watched or read about the Mustang is that the steering is the weakest point of the driving dynamics in that car. But, maybe that's overhyped.

Curious, why dump the Macan? Just need something new?

The best modern steering i have experienced is from BRZ.
Perfectly weighted, direct and extremely quick.

It feels like the old hydraulic systems.

Well that’s true in terms of performance and steering but there are other aspects of the Lexus products I prefer.

I went into the Mustang with low expectations, so that might have helped, but I was very impressed. Most comparisons are to the Camaro, which I’ve never driven.

I’ve had the Macan for almost 3 years and the new versions are pretty much the same car so I see no reason to upgrade. I get bored with cars pretty quickly and like to experience new ones, but I may just keep my Macan and see how life is without a car payment.

I was a big fan of the Macan - particularly the steering like SW17LS mentioned. It was a ton of fun to drive - probably helped by the fact that the one I drove was a Turbo. It's also easily the most well-rounded car I have driven. It didn't seem to be bad at anything.

Mine is the S but I am still quite impressed. No quality issues except for squeaky brakes due to my center city driving and very expensive oil changes.
